Linnaean Landskapes - Project ideas
Linnaean landscapes is a cooperative project that focuses an international perspective on the unpreserved areas around Uppsala important to Linnaeus. The long term objective of this project is to secure these lands important to Linnaeus' life and work for future generations and to make them available to the public within the decade between 2002 and 2012. The care of these lands should transfer to the authority of the existing area after this time. We are an interdisciplinary group that highly values local involvement.

These are the main goals:
  • To collect knowledge about Linnaeus and the landscape.
  • To make the historical landscape clear.
  • To establish and realize a plan for preserving the land.
  • To integrate the objectives of this project with the needs of contemporary society.
  • To encourage education, research, and artistic expressions.
